UA HOVR Phantom 2 Performance Review

Under Armour was founded in 1996. UA released HOVR Phantom series running shoes in 2018. The HOVR technology offers unprecedented experience to the runners. UA HOVR Phantom 2 has been upgraded based on UA HOVR Phantom 1. The overall performance has been upgraded. The cushion performance is much better.

Unboxing:

The appearance of UA HOVR Phantom 2 is more fashion and pretty. It has several colorways. Today we will show you the orange one.

The vamp is made of knitted material. It’s socks type design. It can fit the feet very well. It’s comfortable. The material is soft. It has pull-tab on the shoe heel of UA HOVR Phantom 2. It’s convenient for putting on and taking off.

The vamp is jointed with two kinds of materials. The forefoot vamp uses high elastic knitted material. The mid-vamp uses non-elastic material to guarantee the fitness and lateral support. The shoe tongue has ventilated holes. It can keep the good air permeability. The stiff TPU stabilizing plate on the shoe heel doesn’t have good strength, but it guarantees the flexibility and supporting performance.

The shoe-pad is designed to fix type. The SpeedForm 2.0 shoe-pad is seamed with the vamp and insole. It’s soft and comfortable. The thickness of filled foam in different area of foot is different. And it has groove to guarantee the air permeability. It’s comfortable when walking. It has built-in sensing chip on the sole. It can connect with UA Run by Bluetooth get the running data to analysis. It can help you to reduce the injured risk when running and improve the running speed. But the UA RUN app has been closed. It’s a pity. But it doesn’t effect the excellent performance of UA HOVR Phantom 2.

The core technology HOVR insole is a cushion system. HOVR is made of olefin material and Energy Web. The olefin material can’t be used as insole of running shoes lonely. With the help of Energy Web, the HOVR system can exert its cushion performance and energy resilience. The HOVR insole is comfortable and it has excellent resilience. Comparing with UA HOVR Phantom 1, UA HOVR Phantom 2 uses more UA HOVR foam. The HOVR insole is light and stable.

The new UA HOVR Phantom 2 has upgraded the outsole pattern. It has more excellent traction performance. The rubber of outsole is also thick. It guarantees the lifetime. It’s also soft.

The UA HOVR Phantom 2 is a pair of nice running shoes with excellent cushion performance. It can be used for daily jogging. As it’s comfortable. The unit weight of EUR42.5 UA HOVR Phantom 2 is 298g. It’s quite light.

HOVR technology is soft. It’s very comfortable and it can satisfy your running request. The HOVR running shoes can suitable for daily training and full marathon around 5 hours. If you have heavy weight and you like long distance jogging, you can choose it.

Unboxing & Closed Look: Puma Speed 600 2 Running Shoes

I just purchased a pair of Puma Speed 600 2 this weekend. Today let’s have a closed look at it.

The number of Puma running shoes 100 to 1000 means suspension scale coefficient. It can satisfy the running request of different runners on different scenarios.

Unboxing:

The main colorway is black with yellow shoe heel.

The vamp is made of full knitted two layers of mesh fabric. It doesn’t have any suture lines, which improves the integrality of vamp. The vamp is covered with meshes which guarantee the air permeability.

The shoe tongue is traditional design, it’s filled with foam and it’s comfortable. Half of the shoe tongue is covered with reflective stripe.

The shoelaces uses the adjustable lacing design.Double lacing holes offer two kinds of lacing way for different instep. It improve the fitness. This kind of design is useful.

It has TPU stablizing plate on the shoeheel. It can protect the shoe heel. It also has reflective stripe on the shoe heel.

The insole cushion material is divided into two layers. The upper layer is Hybrid cushion material which is combined with Nrgy and Ignite cushion material. It has the advantages of Nrgy and Ignite and offers more excellent cushion performance and resilience. The bottom layer is Profoam with frame material. It is the updated version of Profoam which are always used on the Speed series running shoes. It’s light and has good stablility. Profoam and frame material each take up 50%.

The outsole uses Puma’s polymer rubber. It has good stiffness and abrasive resistance. It has different design on different part. The small dots pattern of forefoot sole increases the traction performance. The yellow part is durable rubber which improves the lifetime of outsole.

It’s embossed with Proplate on the mid-sole. Proplate is constituted with two TPU elastic plates which extending from mid-sole to forefoot sole. It can push you to run forward. Its function is similar to carbon plate.

NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37

Below is the colorway that I bought.

Unboxing:

NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37 is made of engineering mesh fabric. It’s my favorite material. It’s strong and not easy to be broken.

As a pair of running shoes, the air permeability is absolutely important. The vamp of NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37 uses semi-transparent mesh fabric. The air permeability looks good.

The shoe head and shoe heel has unwrapping design.

The shoe heel also uses the built-in counter. It’s also an important distinction of running shoes and casual shoes. It doesn’t have pull-tab on the shoe heel, so it’s inconvenient to wear the shoes.

The REACT material of shoe heel is thick. It can heighten obviously. And it also has some plicated trace.

The shoe tongue is integrated type. It’s nightmare for the high instep. My instep is also high, so it’s better not fasten the shoelaces tightly.

The fluorescent green shoe-pad is printed with big blue Swoosh logo.

The workmanship is good.

The outsole design of NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37 is almost the same as other Pegasus running shoes. It’s distributed with wearable rubber.

The first feeling after wearing is tight. My feet is 270mm. I purchased the size EUR43. But my forefoot is still a little narrow.

The outsole rubber of NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37 is thick enough. The abrasive resistance is great. But it has some noise when walking.

The ZOOM Air cushion of forefoot sole has good resilience. But the React of rear sole is a little stiff. The feedback of Zoom Air cushion has good feedback in the market. The combination of Zoom Air with React is secure strategy.

Comparing with React EPIC and React Odyssey, the feedback of NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37 is more excellent. Although they uses the same React cushion technology, but the feedback of NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37 is better.

The size of NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37 is a little small than normal size. If you have wide feet, it’s better to choose one size bigger than normal size.

Although it looks like the semi-transparent vamp has good air permeability. But the actual ventilation is not so good. It’s suitable to wear in Spring and Autumn to run.

The unit weight of NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37 EUR43 is about 280g. It’s obviously lighter than Ultraboost. As it’s jogging shoes, the unit weight is already light enough. If you want a pair of jogging shoes, NIKE Air Zoom Pegasus 37 will be a good choice.

The unit weight of US9 Adidas alphafly next% is 213g. As it adds air cushion, the unit weight of Adidas alphafly next% is 30g heavier than Vaporfly.

Appearance

The big Swoosh logo is gradient ramp pink. It also has smaller green Swoosh logo on the inner side of vamp. The edge of Swoosh logo is decorated with black.

Shoelaces:

Adidas alphafly next% uses newest wheat shoelaces. It increases the friction force, it’s not easy to loosen after fastening.

Shoe tongue

Adidas alphafly next% uses integrated shoe tongue. The resilience is good. It fits the foot. The pull-tab of shoe tongue is marked with NIKE AIR ZOOM ALPHAFLY NEXT%.

Vamp:

The vamp of Adidas alphafly next% is made of atomknit. It’s the lightest knitted way. We can see the big mesh. The air permeability is good. And the fitness is also good. The shoe head has reinforcement.

Lining:

The lining of Adidas alphafly next% is simple, it only has a piece of surrounding foam to fill in the arch position. It’s light and it also can improve the stability. The counter on shoeheel is also strong.

Shoeheel:

The black pull-tab has green Swoosh logo. The upwarping range of shoe heel is big.

Insole:

The structure of forefoot sole is ZoomX (upper layer), carbon plate (middle layer) and air cushion (bottom layer). The Zoom air cushion has good resilience. The rear sole has thickened ZoomX foam.

The Zoom fibril has deformed.

Outsole:

The forefoot sole uses soft rubber. And the rubber is thick and it adds the pattern to improve the traction performance. The rear sole is stiff abrasive rubber.

The mid-sole of Adidas alphafly next% is narrow. The forefoot space is wide enough, you can choose the standard size.

Adidas adios Pro Performance Review

Adidas adios Pro was undoubtedly the most popular racing shoes in the end of 2020. The top-level runners worn the Adidas adios Pro to break the world record of half-marathon. So it can be said that Adidas adios Pro is the king of half-marathon running shoes.

I have run more than 50km by wearing Adidas adios pro. So I have a comprehensive feeling for Adidas adios Pro.

The vamp of Adidas adios Pro is comfortable. The fitness is good, it can fix the feet very well, and the shoe head has the enough space for moving. It keeps good balance for the fitness and comfort level. It profits from the design of shoe tongue. The inner side of shoe tongue extends to insole. And another side connects to vamp. After fastening the shoelaces, it can improve the fitness, but the disadvantage is that the design of shoe tongue can’t be adjusted. It maybe not suitable to the runners who have fat feet or high instep.

Maybe due to the good fitness of midsole, so Adidas change the normal big TPU to small one.

Although the foam fading on ankle is not much, and the counter is small, but it’s not easy to loosen when running. The shoe heel and ankle fits the vamp very well. But it doesn’t have TPU to support both sides of shoe heel. The shoe heel is easy to slip.

The vamp is made of mesh fabric. As it reduces the area of TPU, so the ventilated mesh is extending to ankle part, so the air permeability of vamp is excellent. You don’t need to worry about the air permeability if running in hot Summer.

The insole of Adidas adios Pro is the newest insole material LightstrikePRO. The LightsrikePRO insole is soft and resilient. It guarantees the good cushion performance and resilience. The unit weight of EUR42.5 Adidas adios Pro is about 226g. The cushion performance is more than resilience.

The forefoot insole uses 5pcs carbon pile and rear sole uses carbon fiber plate. The flexibility is good. The height of forefoot sole is 30.5mm and the height of rear sole is 39mm. The thick insole has good cushion performance, but the corresponding feedback is weaker. It’s suitable for most of runners. Although the resilient feedback is not excellent, but the thick LightstrikePro insole has great cushion performance. It will push you to run forward when running in downslope.

The 5ps carbon pile is closed to the outsole. The outsole is soft. The rubber is soft. The outsole doesn’t have pattern it’s smooth. Kipchumba worn Adidas adios Pro on raining day of London marathon competitions. So we can see that the traction performance of Adidas adios Pro is not bad. But many guys would be still worried about its traction performance in slippery raining road.

Actually I often run in the road and park, the traction performance is good. Although the rubber of outsole is thin, but I haven’t found big abrasion of the outsole after running about 50km. The pattern of lateral shoe heel is almost worn down. The abrasive resistance is good.


Overall:

The insole of Adidas adios Pro is thick, it has good cushion performance. The resilient feedback is not excellent comparing with other running shoes in same grade. It’s suitable for most of runners. But the price is a little high. As the LightstrikePRO insole technology is getting better, we believe that the performance of Adidas adios Pro 2 will be more excellent.

Hoka One One Rocket X Performance Review

Last year Tuliamuk worn Hoka One One Rocket X to get the champion of American Marathon Olympic Qualification Trails. I’m interested in this pair of running shoes for a long time. What’s its actual performance? Let’s have a look at it today.

This pair of red Rocket X is more showy than the first released blue/yellow/white colorway. I love both of them.

It’s light. The unit weight of EUR42.5 Hoka One One Rocket X is about 210g. The vamp is thin. It’s made of two layers of ventilated mesh fabric. The outer layer has small meshes, and the inner layer has big meshes. The shoe tongue is also thin, it’s filled in a layer of thin foam. Both sides of shoe tongue connect with insole to avoid moving. The overall air permeability is great. I have ran about 15km, but the feet are not stuffy.The shoe head has a layer of hot-pressed lint to reinforce the supporting performance of vamp. But it’s not stiff enough. The shoe tree is also wide. The moving space of foot is big. But the shoe head is easy to deform. The shoelaces are flat type, after fastening the shoes laces, it won’t be easy to loosen, and it can plying-up the instep.

This pair of Hoka One One Rocket X is suitable to the runners who have wide foot and high instep. It’s wide for the thin feet. It needs to fasten the shoelaces tightly to fix the foot.

The insole of Hoka One One Rocket X is similar to Saucony Kinvara series. Hoka One One Rocket X uses the lightest foam of HOKA, that is CMEVA. Actually, the material is EVA. The height of forefoot sole is 27mm, and the height of rear sole is 32mm. The insole is thick, but the unit weight is only 210g. The insole is soft. But as it’s EVA material, the running feedback is not good. The shoe-pad of Hoka One One Rocket X is thin.

The big difference of Hoka One One Rocket X with other carbon plate running shoes is the excellent stability. The shoe heel has big area and stiff counter. The built-in arch carbon plate in the insole is Y shape. The stiffness is good. It’s stable when running. So it’s suitable to more people. If running 5 hours marathon, you can wear Hoka One One Rocket X for competition.

I like the pattern of outsole. The rubber of forefoot sole and rear sole is thinner. It tries to reduce the weight and keep the good abrasive resistance and traction performance. The pattern is not deep. The traction performance on dry road is good. But it’s a little easy to slip on slippery road, but it’s not obviously. But the rubber is built-in the foam of insole. After training, the rubber doesn’t have abrasion, but the edge of insole rough selvedge. It’s the disadvantage of the built-in rubber outsole.

Overall:

The price of Hoka One One Rocket X is cheaper than other carbon plate running shoes. The cost performance is better. But the nuclear technology of insole is EVA. The resilience is worse than other carbon plate running shoes. But the advantage is the stability. It’s very stable when running, and the weight is light. It’s suitable for daily training.

So the position of AJ 11 is unsurpassable in the history of basketball shoes. The recently released Air Jordan 11 Retro Low are sold well in the market. It’s easy to purchase, and the price is not high.

Appearance:

The shoebox is concise.

The patent leather vamp looks great under the light.

The workmanship is good.

The colorway black and white vamp with red outsole looks great.

The shoe heel has the number 23 embroidery and small Flyman logo. As it’s low type, the space is not big.

The red transparent outsole looks great.

The shoe tongue and vamp is artificial leather. It’s hot if wearing it in Summer.

Both of the appearance and configuration of Air Jordan 11 is great.

Air Jordan 11 is unsuitable to play basketball.

Although AJ11 help Jordan to get the champion, but it’s the shoe model which is more than 20 years.

It’s a pair of low type basketball shoes. The fitness is not good enough, the shoes are easy to loosen when playing basketball.

It doesn’t have padding to reinforce. The stability of ankle depends on the patent leather and filled padding. The anti-rollover performance is not good. It’s easy to sprain the foot when playing basketball.

The insole of AJ 11 is stiff, and the traction performance of AJ 11 is not good, it’s easy to slip in the stiff and slippery court.

It’s a pair of fashion shoes.

Due to the excellent appearance design, the colorways and materials are changeable.

Overall:

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low is easier to purchase comparing with Air Jordan 11. The black, white and red colorway is classic. Although it’s unsuitable to play basketball, but it’s a pair of fashion shoes. If you are Jordan’s fans, it’s worthy to purchase it.

Unboxing & Closed Look: Nike Zoom Kobe V Protro

KOBE V has released several colorways in 2020. Which colorways do you prefer to?

Unboxing:

The main colorway is green and white. The white parts are easy to be dirty.

The Swoosh logo on both sides of vamp is decorated with gold edge. We can find the hidden flywire under the vamp.

The insole of Zoom Kobe V Protro uses Zoom Turbo air cushion. It’s the same as the signature shoes of Kyrie.

The shoe heel has gold signature of KOBE.

The outsole of Zoom Kobe V Protro is still the same. The carbon plate of arch is also the same.

The vamp has reflective effect. It looks cool.

The gold logo on the shoe tongue looks great.

As Kobe’s fans, it’s worthy to purchase it.

Deconstructed fragment x CLOT x Nike Air Force 1

Today, we will deconstructed the fragment x CLOT x Nike Air Force 1 「Black Silk」. The silk surface can be teared. The flash logo and CLOT logo are in the shoe-pad.

We cut the silk surface by scissor.

After tearing the silk surface, we can see the leather with red pattern. It’s Chinese style. It looks great.

The rear upper and shoe tongue is soft cow leather, it’s soft and comfortable.

From the cross section, we can see the red leather and thin lint interlining. And it has counter on the shoe heel. The comfort level and supporting performance is good.

We can see 1cm sponge mat in the shoe tongue.

The shoe-pad design is special. It has flash logo on shoe-pad. It has a thin cushion layer on the reverse side of shoe-pad.

After taking off the white cushion layer, we can see the exposed transparent SOLE air cushion. The red stitching is intensive and tidy.

We can see the outer layer of outsole is rubber. It’s thick. The abrasive resistance is good.

The insole uses 3/4 Sole air cushion. It’s the necessary technology of Air Force 1. The hollow-out design reduces the weight.

Unboxing & Closed Look：New Balance Kawhi 1

After OMN1S, the first pair of Kawhi Leonard’s signature New Balance The Kawhi 1 was finally released. The first released colorway is 4 Bounces. Let’s have a closed look at it today.

The Kawhi Leonard also participated in the design of New Balance The Kawhi 1.

The shoe box is white. The design of shoebox is concise. The middle of shoebox is printed with NB and the gold handwritten signature.

The main colorway of the New Balance The Kawhi 1 is black and blue, and it’s decorated with gold. The colorway is attractive.

As the first released colorway, the name of 4 Bounces comes from the final hit of Kawhi Leonard in the playoff of 2019. To memory this moment, New Balance cooperating with Kawhi Leonard released this pair of meaningful 4 Bounces signature basketball shoes.

The vamp material of New Balance The Kawhi 1 uses knitted mesh fabric and leather. It reduces the weight and improves the fitness and protecting performance. The shoe head has 3M reflecting material.

The leather of shoe upper is crocodile texture. And it’s decorated with blue lines.

The shoe tongue is seamed with the Kawhi Leonard’s logo K and number 2 on the top right corner.

The middle gold leather on the shoelaces is also printed with number 2. It works in concert with shoe tongue. The leather is seamed by blue filament.

To guarantee the comfort level, the shoe collar is filled with foam. It’s soft and comfortable.

The shoe heel is covered with big TPU. It offers enough supporting performance. It’s stable when exercising. The shoe heel is also decorated with Kawhi Leonard’s handwrite.

The insole still uses the FuelCell technology as OMN1S. The sole is light. The elastic feedback is obviously.

The outsole is crystal material. The traction performance is good in indoor court. But as you know, the durability of crystal outsole is not good.
