Along with the Dunk and Air Jordan 1, the Nike Terminator is one of Nike’s basketball models from 1985. Its comeback release marks endless possibilities for new colourways and potential collaborations. The Low version makes the shoe even better with its more streamlined shape.
With other brands dominating the basketball sneaker market, Nike searched for its next signature athlete. The AF1 was popular, but Nike discontinued the shoe in 1984 to make way for other styles. In 1985, the brand welcomed new silhouettes to the roster, including this Nike Terminator. The Terminator model didn’t have the same hype as the Dunk, but became an exclusive shoe rocked only by the Georgetown Hoyas while other teams wore Dunks.
Leather makes up the upper of the shoe, the High arrived with a padded collar which covers the heel. A large NIKE label on the heel banners the iconic brand name inspired by the Greek Goddess.
The Nike Terminator Low “Michigan” features a maize yellow leather base with midnight navy hues on the toe, eyestay, Swoosh, Nike branding, and heel. You won’t find any official Michigan logos on the shoe but it’s an obvious reference to the longtime Nike partner school.
