The bulk of the sneaker is dressed in a high-quality “Hazy Green” suede. Panels at the heel and tongue deviate in a “Praia” that’s meant to evoke imagery of bananas and the South American country’s sun. To further touch on the film’s eye-opening depiction of the economic and social disparity found across Rio de Janeiro, Extra Butter brought cracked leather and “repaired” zig-zag stitching to the adidas Consortium Cup winner.

Other nods to the 21-year-old movie arrive in the form of Praia-inspired Extra Butter logos on the spine and Copacabana walkway-informed patterns on the sockliners. Additionally, the New York-based institution has prepped the Angelica Futbol Jersey and Lil Ze graphic tee.
