Starting with the silhouette itself, the Nike Air Jordan IV was initially launched in 1989 when Michael Jordan was about to come into the peak of his powers. Just 2 years later he would go on to win his first of 6 NBA Championships.
When the shoe was initially launched, it was not received well but like a fine wine, 30 years on the Air Jordan IV holds a special place in sneaker history. Now, we are being treated to the AJ4 ‘Hot Lava’. Coming with a predominately white upper, this shoe’s pops of colour are truly something to behold.
With black portions offset by the lava details, this colour continues onto the tongue, sole and branding, making for one of the hottest Jordans in a while.
