DELTA TRI OP Performance Review

I have been obsessed with running for 6 years, during which, I’ve tried many different running shoes. And among my running shoes, one of my favorite is the Descente . But it is quite strange that I can not remember the brand name clearly,  but I am rather impressed by the Descante logo. Maybe it is because of the special meaning behind it: it not only represents the brand, but also the spirit of pursuing excellence and bold innovation.

DELTA TRI OP is a high performance running shoe developed in collaboration with the Swiss National Triathlon Team. And since I am quite lucky to have gotten this running shoes, I hope this review can do some help for you.

The shoe box is light gray on the outside, which looks not so striking while the logo in the middle of the box is eye-catching and stylish.

There are mainly two colorways of the DELTA TRI OP, which are black and red while the one I got here is bright red  on the whole and has  a strong sense of visual impact. The shoe body is slender and narrow and without much fancy decoration on the outside, the shoe looks very simple but elegant at the same time.

The upper is made of P.W Upper engineering mesh with excellent air and water permeability which should be credited to the mesh holes inset which is quite visible with our naked eyes, and the vamp is also very thin and breathable.

Between the sole and vamp, a thermoplastic patch is used  to improve the durability of the shoe and prevent the toe from being too soft, which can result in sufficient support and protect the toe. And the reinforced crashproof toe which is slightly upwarped can offer the runner kind of thwart. Besides, the mesh holes on the vamp, to some extent, reduce the weight of the shoes and make it very comfortable to wear.

As for the midsole, it is equipped with a unique DELTA SYSTEM,a fabric based self-reinforcing KaRVO plastic laminates with high rigidity, which can not only keep the midsole ultra-light, but also stabilize the shoe body, increase flexibility and provide strong thrust. And the ring at the heel is designed here to help put on and take off shoes quickly. In the middle of the insole also lies a white Descente logo which is  iconic.

The shoe is also special in that DESCENTE makes use of the innovative sewing bonding technology, which makes it possible for runners to wear the shoes barefoot. And even in that case,  the wrapping is still very nice and comfortable.

The black rubber sole is made of graphene, which makes the sole durable and wear-resistant. Combined with special triangular groove design, the sole has a strong grip on the ground and can prevent slipping on wet grounds.

For the cushion, it can be easily felt. When I was warming up before exercising, I could obviously felt the soft cushion and the responsive feedback.

Overall:

To sum up, the DELTA TRI OP aims at making up the slow of pace caused by fatigue. And the designer has integrates the excellent air and water permeability, the nice midsole, and durable soles into the shoe, making it  especially suitable for professional runners and runners with the pursuit of speed for daily training.

KD Light Performance Review

I am quite delighted to be here in the hope that this review can help you who want to pick this KD Light. To be honest, I was astonished at its appearance the first time I met it. The brand has provided a colorway exclusively for women and about its performance, we are going to check here.

The colorway here is fluorescent green with the coral pink lining and laces. Besides, the large fluorescent green vamp and the white midsole junctions are also connected by coral pink. These colors match each other very well  with the vibrancy of a running shoe and the femininity that remains.

In the past few years, I’ve tried many different kinds of running shoes, some of which are really very nice and can be a great help for me while the others are not the case. The KD Light is the first pair of Decathlon shoes that I have. Before I put it on, I had lots of expectations of  it. So in order to grasp a better knowledge of it, the first time I ran for 5 km or so. As soon as I put on the shoes, I could obviously feel the tight wrapping. The padding inside the shoe wrapped my ankles well and the vamp fitted my feet nicely, but there is some more extra room in the forefoot and so I did not feel squeezed.

As for the cushion, maybe it was because I was not used to it, I felt the sole was hard but very thick. Some time later, I could feel feedback from underfoot, which is the so-called break-in period. As the number of kilometers increased, the feedback from the Kalensole became more and more obvious.

The shoes are very light, so I don’t feel any burden on my feet. A single shoe of size 38 weighs only 215g which can be said to be excellent among many running shoes. And the non-slip rubber used in the outsole makes me feel very reassuring. So wherever I choose to run, I can feel quite secure. On the outsole, the honeycomb pattern gives the shoe a nice grip and the thick rubber also extends the life of the shoe.

The breathable lining of the seamless single woven vamp provides a lightweight, breathable feel to the feet. So when I finished exercising, I did not feel stuffy underfoot.

Overall:

Though it was the first time I pick Decathlon running shoes, the KD Light did perform excellently. From my point of view, I am not only satisfied with its appearance, but also its performance in many respects, such as the lightness and steadiness, though there still remains some flaws. But after all, “no one is perfect” and so does the running shoes. At a reasonable price, I think the KD Light is very competitive and if for road runs, I will prefer this KD Light.

S-Lab Ultra Performance Review

The S-Lab Ultra, as the name suggests, is a pair of long-distance running shoes, and again, Francois D ‘Haene is involved in the design , development and testing of the new shoes after designing the s-Lab Sense Ultra. Then what surprises will it bring us this time? Let’s have a check.

In the UTMB race in 2017, Francois D ‘Haene wore the shoes in the first half of  the match and finally won the first prize with an all-time record. And since he is very good at long-distance running, he won the MIUT and UTMB, taking the UTWT championship with 2000 points. Since then, his race shoes have been customized by Salomon. Besides, his running style is similar to that of most ordinary runners; hence, it is acknowledged that this running shoe is more suitable for most runners than other technical shoes of the S-Lab series.

The S-Lab Ultra is officially positioned as a comfortable shock-absorbing long-distance running shoe. And here are details about the shoes. It weighs 300g which is not so light, but not so heavy, neither. To ensure a comfortable wearing experience, the cushioning has been injected with some excellent technology. The fore part of the cushion is a foam intercalated technology called Energysave to ensure a lasting cushioning effect while the full-foot Energycell+ ensures smooth movement. But the shoe endears itself to me in that it fits my feet nicely and wraps excellently well. And the SkinGuard can protect my ankle as well as offer stability. Above all, because of its nature as a pair of running shoes, it must be capable of dealing with all kinds of roads. And I should say that it did satisfy me in this respect. Just take a look at the outsole and you’ll find out that it is the pattern of the sole that helps greatly.

Here are the four editions of S-Lab shoes. They are S-Lab Ultra、S-Lab Sense Ultra、S-Lab Wings 8、 S-Lab Wings from left to right.

As a fan of long-distance running, I have tried many running shoes before and it is not until recent years that I decided to pick the S – Lab series. And finally my choice turned out to be quite right. I have participated in several races in recent years and the S – Lab shoes have accompanied me along the way and helped me finish the races smoothly. On top of that, I can see great upgrade in every edition of S-Lab products, which is rather surprising.

The breathable mesh cloth on the vamp adopts the Sensifit technology as well. With sufficient wrapping and larger TPU and the new Side Wing designed to enhance the vamp support, the shoe’s performance has been greatly improved. But there is one problem: I am a wide footer, so I feel a bit shackled underfoot. With respect to this point, maybe I still need some time to get used to it.

It is worth mentioning that the material of the top line has been upgraded to a softer artificial suede, which makes it more comfortable to wear and reduces the friction of the heel during long races.

So as to get a comprehensive knowledge of the shoe, I did a lot of test running. On rugged roads, the shoe was flexible enough for me and provided me with sufficient cushioning and feedback. The sturdy TPU covering toe and upper provided protection while the midsole TPU offered shock relief and made me change directions smoothly. I have also tried to exercise outdoors on a drizzly day and the truth was it still gripped nicely, which did surprise me.

Overall:

In short, this S-Lab Ultra is a nice running shoe. On the strength of my experiences, it is cost-effective and deserves your trying.

A-FlashFoam 2.0 Performance Review

In 2017, Anta released its own A-Flashfoam midsole material, which was then applied in several of its running shoes. Among them, two  pair of running shoes debuted in the 2017 Kunming and Chongqing Marathon respectively, which were immediately sold out.

So since I am crazy about this kind of sport, I am also full of expectations for A-Flashfoam. Therefore, let’s get acquainted with today’s protagonist — A-Flashfoam 2.0.

Leaving the shoe’s performance aside, its appearance alone is appealing enough for me. The colorway I pick up here is the “midnight blue” which looks more “mature” and “calmer”. There are also other colorways available which are black, cold grey, ivory white and fluorescent dark red.

The vamp is made of ultra-light and elastic fabric. And it is made of double-layer fabric though, there is a large number of air holes designed on it, which makes it more than suitable for running in summer days. In terms of the toe, the popular anti-collision design is adopted there.

You can see from the image that the shoe tongue and the shoe collar is an integral whole. The material used is elastic as well as  extensile so as to increase the wrapping.

The midsole is the a-Flashfoam, the core cushion technology of this brand, which is a mixed material of EVA and TPU. There are also altogether seven gradually enlarged oval hollow designs adopted from the toe to the heel, which reduces the weight of the shoe.

The outsole material used is the lightweight and wear-resisting rubber which the same as that of the first edition. The oval hollow design and scale texture in the outsole can improve the grip of the shoe in the process of running and more importantly, reduce energy loss.

The insole is the 5mm soft EVA with an arch design which can fit runners’ feet nicely.

The initial feeling it gave me was that the shoe is very light. The data given by officials indicates a single shoe weighs only 240 grams while my ultra boost is 285 grams.

Since this is a shoe designed for long distance running,  it is especially important that the shoe has nice cushioning performance. So first of all, I simply tested the performance of a-flashfoam midsole performance by squeezing it with my hand. When I pressed the shoe with moderate strength, it turned out that there was an obvious compression and then immediate feedback. And in order to further confirm that, I carried out a 10 km run. During the whole  process, the midsole was continuously giving me sufficient feedback that I did not feel fatigued after the running. That is to say the shoe is rather reliable in this respect.

The size of the shoe is quite right. With a pair of socks  of moderate thickness, the feet will be firmly locked inside the shoes. So the wrapping is also very nice.

I am used to running at around 7 pm when there are gentle breeds.  And every time I finished running, my feet were still quite dry and I felt rather comfortable, which should be credited to the dense air holes on the vamp.

To be honest, I had thought the outsole would be a fatal drawback of the shoe since it was very thin. But it turned out that I was incredibly wrong. After this period of testing, running over 50 km and daily  wearing, I found, in fact, that the outsole is quite wearable and a short period of intensity training will  do little damage to the sole.

Overall:

In short, the shoe is cost-effective. And since the summer days are here with us, are you in want of such a pair of excellent shoes? If so, you might as well have a try.

Adidas Dame 6 Performance Review

Dame series basketball shoes are always popular in the market. It makes a big change this year. It abandons the Bounce technology and uses Lightstrike. It should be an upgrade. How about its actual performance? Let’s have a look at it today.

Advantages:

  1. Great Traction Performance

I love the traction performance of Dame 6. Many players take it as back up.

▼The traction performance of Dame 6 is excellent

The outsole is herringbone. And it’s crystal outsole. The traction performance is excellent. The horizontal traction performance is good. I haven’t slipped on indoor wood floor court.

▼The outsole has upturning design

The crystal outsole is suitable for indoor court and traction performance is great. And the outsole is easy to absorb dust. The abrasive resistance is not bad on indoor court.

▼it doesn’t have obvious abrasion at present

  1. Upgraded Cushion-Lightstrike

I’m shocked when it said that Dame 6 uses Lightstrike insole. After all, only N3XT L3V3L and Harden Vol.4 have used Lightstrike, and their price is high.
▼The cushion technology is changed from Bounce to Lightstrike

The full-length Lightstrike has excellent cushion performance. The starting speed is fast.

The Lightstrike of Dame 6 is stiffer than Harden Vol.4. But it’s more elastic than N3XT L3V3L.

Disadvantages:

  1. The shoe tree is a little wide. It can’t fit the narrow type foot very well. The lateral supporting performance is also not good enough.

The shoelaces’ design of DAME 6 is similar to Crazy Explosive. But the fitness of Dame 6 is not good.
▼It only uses 4 couples of shoelaces’ holes

▼The shoe tree is wide

If your foot is wide type, Dame 6 will be suitable to you. As my foot is narrow type, so it’s easy to be loosen.

▼The shoelaces are also easy to loosen when playing basketball

And the lateral supporting performance is not good for me.

The anti-torsion performance is good. The TPU plate of shoe heel is also strong. It has a piece of reinforcement on the shoe head. But it’s a pity that the overall vamp supporting performance is not good

  1. The reverse side of shoe tongue is easy to dye the socks.

It’s surprised that the red shoe tongue dyes my white socks, maybe it’s due to the colorway.

▼The shoe tongue dyes to my socks and shoelaces

Overall: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 8.5 stars

Shoe Tree:a little wide

Size: a little longer. Different version, different material, the length maybe different. I normally choose NIKE/Adidas EUR43, but the size of Dame 6 which is suitable for me is EUR42.5. It’s better to have a try on physical store.
Although I’m unsatisfied at the fitness and supporting performance of Dame 6. But the cushion performance and traction performance of Dame 6 is great.

Close look and opening: Nike Zoom Freak 2

MVP’s Freak 2 has received a lot of attention since its release. And for Giannis Antetokounmpo, the most valuable player in the league, the journey has not been very easy. You may be wondering what is the tie between Freak 2 and Giannis Antetokounmpo. And the answer is that the Freak 2 embraces Giannis Antetokounmpo’s story along the way and every detail of the shoe is worth your appreciation.

Nike Zoom Freak 2 is installed with full-foot Nike Phylon foam and Nike Air Zoom, both of which provide players with stable and effective protection and faster feedback. Nike Phylon foam offers a comfortable cushioning effect, while the Air Zoom provides players with forward propulsion during a match. But this one does not inherit the two Air Zoom cushion that is places at the back of the last signature shoe.

In the middle of the shoe a stability piece is embedded that provides stable support and balance in the process of changing direction and landing. The TPU outside the shoe and  the widened fore part of the outsole ensures a good anti-rolled-over performance. On top of that, the huge Nike Swoosh on the outside not only indicates Atetokoungawa’s characteristics; it also guarantees the vamp support.

The most compelling part of the shoes, for me, is that every detail of the shoe is infused with the designer’s ingenuity, making the Zoom Freak 2 not just a shoe, but also an expression of emotion. You can figure out that in the middle of the soles are the names of Antetokka’s father, Charles, and his mother, Veronica, which is to express his missing for his father who had passed away because of illness.

What’s more, the names of his two elder brothers, “Francis” and “Thanasis”, and two younger ones,  “Alexis”, and “Kostas”, along with his name “Giannis” are blended into the back of the outsole, demonstrating Antetokka’s close bond with his parents and four brothers. As a senior fan of Antetokka, I got moved deeply for such emotion.

This Nike Zoom Freak 2 goes on sale on July 25 for $130 and there are altogether 4 colorways available. And honestly, I was stunned at these nice colorways and I think they are much nicer than the first edition. They are more than suitable for daily outing and actual “combat”. For me, one pair of this Nike Zoom Freak 2 will suffice.

Overall

The upper design of Zoom Freak 1 reflects the bond between the Giannis brothers, which Nike also used as an inspiration in this design. In Giannis ‘s family, every individual has his/her own uniqueness. And we can see from the upper of Zoom Freak 2  that there are a lot of different materials, and the combination of these is like the family members supporting each other, which resulted in this excellent sneaker. And I am sure that this Zoom Freak 2 will be an excellent as well as reliable comrade for you.

Close look and opening: LeBron 7

The newest edition of the LeBron, LBJ 17 is now available and there are several colorways available as well. So knowing that there must have been lots of people waiting for more details about this LeBron7, I bring this article to share with you and hope you can find something helpful.

The shoe box is the same as it was back then. But the ZOOM was changed to full-foot Max for the first time.

Many people will ask why the shoes are related with “red” in its name when there is no any “red” element in the shoes. In fact, it is because there is a pair of red laces given along with the shoes and this is also the colorway that James once wore.

The details of  this LeBron 7 and the first-year version are almost exactly the same. With the familiar as well as classic black and white and the lake green and red embellished, the shoe looks quite elegant.

Take a look at the detail of the swoosh on the side.

And then at the heel part is the classic King James logo.

The return of the Air Max in the LeBron 17 will be a homage to the LeBron 7 which is the first LeBron shoe to be installed with the Air Max.

Whether the shoe is worth trying? If you attach great importance to a shoe’s appearance, then this LeBron 7 is a nice choice and I think it looks especially nice with the red laces. But it is not that reliable on court. It wears a bit hard underfoot and even for relatively heavier players, the shoe is not springy enough. Besides, the wrapping is far from enough and its grip is just of moderate level. The cushion is good though, it is, as mentioned earlier, not soft and bouncy. As the first full-Max LeBron shoe, it is bestowed with more meaning instead of performance.

In 2009, when the Air Max LeBron 7 was released, it can apparently concluded from the name that the shoes’ cushion setup changed significantly: the Air Zoom cushion was abandoned in favor of the full-foot Air Max.

Though the Air Max is less flexible than the ZOOM cushion, the shoes are favored by many heavier players.

Overall

To sum up, this retro LeBron 7  would be more suitable for daily outing. But for actual combat, its performance is a bit below par. But anyway, as I mentioned earlier, if you are much more into its appearance, you might as well take a shot.

Comparison of AJ 6 and AJ 11

Talking about AJ shoes, what first comes into your mind? Right! Most of you will be considering which one to choose. Today I’d like to make a comparison of AJ 6 and AJ 11, both of which are also preferred by many girls. Go on checking then.

The two models have accompanied me for several years and they are right there in my shoe cabinet. Therefore, I think I have a say in comparing the two versions.

First of all, personally, when buying shoes I’d like to the one offering a nice foot feel. After all, comfort is prior to everything. So as regards this respect,  AJ 6, I think, is very stiff and not so friendly to my feet because I am a wide footer. But anyway, it is still enough for some outing, say, shopping. However, if you must wear it for basketball playing, it is highly recommended to change the insoles to much softer ones.

But when it comes to AJ 11, I must rave about it in this aspect. AJ 11 is a very comfortable basketball shoe. It is more than enough to wear the shoes to play basketball, let alone to go shopping. The outsole of the shoe is especially excellent: Even if the soles are oxidized, the crystal sides just remain intact. Another big advantage of the AJ11 is its grip, which is in contrast to AJ 6 which almost has no grip.

The one thing that makes AJ 11 worse than AJ 6 is the wrapping. The AJ 11 wraps around the ankles moderately, while the AJ 6 wraps around the ankles comfortably and reliably. But of course, since people have different foot type, this kind of feeling is just in the eye of the beholder.

To sum up, if you want to look good instead of playing balls, you are suggested to choose AJ 6. But if you have to take into account the shoes’ actual performance, then try AJ 11.

For the size, if you want to pick AJ 6 and  if you are a wide footer, you’d better choose a normal size. And for people who are very thin, then it is advised to pick a smaller size. As for AJ 11, the sizes are all accurate.

The Darth Vader Air Jordan 6, which is all black and appears to be suede covered, exhales some kind of mystery.

As for this colorway, it is presented in a very classic and eye-catching way. The carminum Air Jordan 6, with its original high-top style, complemented by simple black, white and red, is still very avant-garde in the creative shoe body .

The AJ6 “DMP,” with its sleek black ox-leather upper and gorgeous gold detailing, is still a big hit this year.

And this AJ 11 which looks very cool has been injected with another 2 highlights. The first is the silver “Jordan” decorated in the lace holes, a design previously only seen on the Air Jordan 11 in the DMP.

With a simple white base and black leather, this low-top one looks quite familiar with Concord colorway at first glance as well as  classic and have a lingering charm.

The Ray Allen Air Jordan 11 PE, with its classic high-top styling and  grain leather, is also a very classic edition. But the most eye-catching detail lies in the gold Jumpman Logo on the heel which is very shiny!
